Pakistan reports 13 deaths from COVID-19, highest in over two weeks


Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,283,223, Pakistan has reported 13 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,690 on Thursday.

According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 363 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

So far, 13,007 people have died from the epidemic in Punjab, 7,619 in Sindh, 5,825 in KP, 952 in Islamabad, 742 in Azad Kashmir, 359 in Balochistan, and 186 in the UK .

In addition, Sindh has confirmed 474,772 cases of coronavirus, Punjab has confirmed 442,714 cases, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province has 179,774 cases, Islamabad has 107,554 cases, Azad Kashmir has 34,540 cases, Balochistan has 33,458 cases and 10,411 cases in Kyrgyzstan Province.

Test and restore

To date, Pakistan has performed 21,796,915 coronavirus tests and 41,240 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,240,995 patients and 1,002 patients are in critical condition.
