Lahore: As the number of positive cases soared to 1,301,141, Pakistan has reported 6 deaths from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The death toll across the country jumped to 28,961 on Friday.

Details of each province

In terms of death toll, Punjab province remains the most affected province, followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 13,077 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,678 in Sindh 5,941 in KP, 967 in Islamabad, 746 in Azad Kashmir, 366 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

Furthermore 484,985 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 446,676 in Punjab 181,614 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 109,093 in Islamabad, 34,689 in Azad Kashmir 33,655 in Balochistan and 10,429 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

To date, Pakistan has performed 23,706,375 coronavirus tests and 51,145 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours. The country has recovered 1,258,086 patients and 609 patients are in critical condition.
