Pakistan prepares to reopen Kartarpur Corridor on June 29

Islamabad: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Saturday that with the opening of places of worship around the world, Pakistan is preparing to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib corridor for all Sikh pilgrims.

The Foreign Secretary tweeted and informed the Indian side that Pakistan was preparing to reopen the corridor on June 29, 2020, the anniversary of the death of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh.

The corridor was opened on November 9, 2019 by Prime Minister Imran Khan on the eve of the 550th birthday of Baba Guru Nanak-due to increased coronavirus cases, in March It was temporarily closed on the 16th.
