ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is likely to receive $2.5 billion from China after the two sides reach an agreement on an economic package.
According to sources with knowledge of the development, after China’s funds are in place, foreign exchange reserves will increase and the pressure on foreign debt repayment will be eased.
The source further said that the government is also in talks with China over an economic package for the next fiscal year.
