Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Babar Awan says Pakistan is a gateway for Central Asian States.
The Prime Minister’s adviser stated that Pakistan is also a land full of opportunities for mankind and the region in the future.
The consultant said that considering this important position, Pakistan is formulating special strategies for commercial and regional connectivity through different large-scale projects.
He said that the government will stop horse trading and sale-purchasing of vote in the upper house through amendments in Election Act according to judgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the federal cabinet has approved in principle to table this draft in the parliament.
The Adviser asked the opposition to support the government in the legislation process to ensure transparent, free and fair election in the country through I-voting and E-voting.
He said that in the next general election, more than 9 million Pakistani diaspora living abroad will have the right to vote and play a role in the decision-making process.
