Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Sunday that Pakistan now has the lowest fuel cost compared to other countries in South Asia (including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal).
The government has reduced gasoline prices by Rs 7.06 per liter, kerosene by Rs 11.88 per liter, and light diesel oil by Rs 9.37 per liter. After the latest cut, new gasoline prices will be Rs 74.52 per liter, Rs 35.56 per liter for kerosene and Rs 38.14 per liter for light diesel.
PM Imran Khan said in a Twitter message that the government has further reduced petrol, light diesel and kerosene oil prices. “Now we have the cheapest fuel cost compared to other states in South Asia. India is almost exactly double. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Nepal are all 50 to 75 percent more expensive than us,” he said.
