Islamabad: Pakistan has administered over 30 million coronavirus vaccines so far, Federal Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar confirmed on Twitter Sunday.

Asad Umar said in a tweet that it took 113 days to reach 10 million doses, while the next 10 million took only 28 days, and the other 10 million people reached the 30 million milestone in only 16 days.

The Minister further stated that as the government set new records in all six weeks, the pace of vaccination has accelerated rapidly.

He added that 934,000 vaccinations were carried out yesterday and 5 million injections have been carried out in the past 6 days.

It is worth mentioning that since Pakistan has dealt with the fourth type of coronavirus, which is mainly driven by the Delta variant, the government has imposed restrictions on people who have not been vaccinated.

People who have not been vaccinated are prohibited from taking domestic flights, government employees are instructed to be stabbed before August 31, and teachers who have not been vaccinated are prohibited from performing their duties.
