Non-bailable warrants issued for arrest of Sarfaraz Bugti


Quetta Tower: In another court hearing held here on Friday, Senator Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti in a case related to assisting and teaching the kidnapping of underage girls Arrested.

The court instructed Quetta police to arrest the defendant and submit it to the court.

An arrest warrant was issued the day after the Supreme Court dismissed the provisional bail request made by Bugatti. Two Supreme Court judges, chaired by Supreme Court Judge Mazhar Alam Miankhel, rejected the bail request yesterday.

Quetta’s Bijli Ghar police station had registered a case against the former Balochistan home minister over his alleged role in the abduction of a girl on her mother’s complaint.

Earlier, on Jan 16, the additional sessions court turned down Sarfaraz Bugti’s bail application in the case and ordered his arrest. He, however, fled the court. Later, he approached the Balochistan High Court for bail.

The High Court approved his pre-arrest bail, but later rejected it on June 23. Subsequently, as a last resort, he filed a request from the Supreme Court to grant him temporary bail.
