NEPRA jacks up power tariff by Rs9.90 per unit

ISLAMABAD: The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Friday raised the electricity tariff by Rs 9.90 per unit due to the Monthly Fuel Adjustment (MFA) in June 2022.

According to a notice issued by Nepra, the CPPA is asking for an increase of Rs 9.91 per unit and the authorities held a public hearing on July 28, 2022, which is only applicable to the August bill.

The recent increase in electricity prices will not apply to K-electric consumers.
