ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s National Electricity Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Saturday decided to increase electricity prices by Rs 3.10 based on monthly fuel adjustments as inflation has overwhelmed Pakistanis.
According to an order, the electricity rate increase will not apply to K-Electric customers. NEPRA said the price increase would apply to February bills.
Rising electricity prices will put an additional burden of billions of rupees on electricity consumers.
