Nation celebrates Eidul Adha with religious fervor

Islamabad: Eidul Azha is being celebrated today (Wednesday) with religious fervor to commemorate the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismael (AS).

On this day, special prayers were made in the mosque for the well-being of Uma and the progress, prosperity and security of the country.

Group prayers were held across the country to commemorate religious festivals, while sermons emphasized the significance of this event and the philosophy behind the sacrifice.

During this period, security arrangements have been strengthened throughout the country.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi offered Eid prayers in Multan, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani in Quetta, Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah in Sehwan Sharif, CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan in Peshawar while CM Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan offered prayers in Quetta.
