NAB requests IHC to adjourn hearing of Avenfield reference against Maryam Nawaz

Islamabad: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor on Tuesday has requested the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to adjourn the hearing of Avenfield reference without any proceedings.

According to details, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz appeared before the court.

During the proceedings, NAB prosecutor told that he is suffering from fever due to which the doctor has advised him to quarantine himself. It is, therefore, requested to defer the hearing on the appeals, he asked the IHC.

Subsequently, the court has adjoruned the hearing till January 18.

Earlier, NAB had contacted IHC to request the cancellation of PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz’s bail. The petition submitted by the anti-corruption regulator under Article 199 stated that Mariam Nawaz had abused her bail money. NAB asked the court to cancel her bail.
