NAB has recovered Rs14 billion in past four years: Javed Iqbal

 ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Thursday has said that we have recovered 14 billion rupees in the past four years.

The NAB chairman delivered a speech at the ceremony and talked about the work of the anti-corruption supervisory agency.

He said the bureau has begun investigating the most powerful people who are considered inaccessible. He added that 56 billion rupees were recovered from the Housing Association.

Judge Javed Iqbal further stated that NAB can only submit these recovered items to the national treasure. He went on to say that there is no law requiring NAB to distribute these recovered funds anywhere else.

The chairman guarantees that NAB has all records of the amount recovered.
