Islamabad: The Accountability Tribunal postponed on Wednesday the prosecution proceedings against the co-chair of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former President Asif Ali Zardari in the fake bank account scandal.
According to the details, PPP leaders appeared in court during which the judge has postponed the prosecution of Park Lane and large money laundering cases to September 17.
Subsequently, according to Zardari’s request, a notice has also been sent to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) requesting his dismissal.
Previously, NAB filed a supplementary reference against Asif Ali Zardari in the Park Lane case and nominated him as the main defendant. The case also appointed a company director and two employees of a private bank.
