NA to convene on Saturday to vote on no-trust motion against Deputy Speaker

NA session resumes, voting for PM scheduled


ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly (NA) resumed its session at the Islamabad Parliament House on Monday with Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri as its chairman.

The House of Representatives will elect a new House leader after former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan was voted out of office due to no confidence.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chairman Sheikh Baz Sharif represents the United Opposition, while Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) and its allies have sent Shah Mahmood Qureshi to the post of prime minister.

The National Assembly session started with the Deputy Speaker talking about classified letters and said he would send classified letters threatening Pakistan to the Supreme Court (SC).

According to the details, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri also said that he has acted on the verdict of the esteemed Supreme Court but now is the time to present the letter to the esteemed justices of the Supreme Court, so He has sent the letter to them to review their sentence.

Later, Shah Mahmood Qureshi took over the meeting and talked to the house.
