Islamabad: The federal government has decided to establish a national emergency hotline to provide immediate assistance to the people in the event of any emergency.
On the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the PM Delivery Unit has started work to establish the national emergency help line.
The Prime Minister has directed the PM Delivery Unit to establish the national help line in two months’ time.
According to the PM office, the entire emergency hotline number will be linked to the new system. This system will use the latest technology, and will also seek the cooperation of all cellular companies in this regard.
The national emergency hotline will be toll-free.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated that it will also consult with the provinces to implement legislation to make the system more effective.
