Lahore: A petition has been filed with the Lahore High Court (LHC) to enforce a court order regarding Hamza Shahbaz’s sworn in as Chief Minister of Punjab.

The president, federal secretary, prime minister and the Punjab government have been part of a petition that argues that the Pakistani president has unreasonably delayed the implementation of the order.

Meanwhile, PML-N leader Ata Tarar, speaking to the media, said we could have sworn an oath to any constitutional official, but we did not have the law in our hands. He added that history will remember the current governor of Punjab as one of the worst men in history to hold the position.

PML-N leaders say the prime minister sent a brief to the president to remove the governor, but Imran Niazi and Omar Sarfraz Cheema are pushing the province into crisis due to their egos

He added that the province has had 24 days without a chief minister, while the president and premiers refuse to carry out their constitutional duties.
