Kech attack: PM expresses commitment to rid Pakistan of terrorism


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Friday expressed his grief and grief over the martyrdom of 10 Pakistan Army soldiers in the Kech district of Balochistan.

In a letter of condolences, the Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the heirs of the martyrs.

The prime minister said every drop of a soldier’s blood was a guarantee of national security, adding that a cowardly enemy faced a powerful state that had also defeated terrorism earlier.

The response came after 10 Pakistani Army soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack at a security force checkpoint in Kech district, Balochistan province.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the terrorists attacked security forces’ checkpost in Kech.

During intense exchange of fire, one terrorist was killed and several injured. While repulsing terrorists fire raid, 10 soldiers also embraced martyrdom.

Security forces also arrested three terrorists in the follow up clearance operation.

“The security forces are committed to eliminate terrorists from Pakistan no matter what the cost,” the ISPR statement said.
