Kanye West officially now a billionaire: Forbes

Rapper Kanye West is now a billionaire, thanks in large part to the name of the basketball shoe he developed in partnership with Adidas.

The magazine said that Kim Kardashian’s husband’s ownership was roughly estimated at $ 1.3 billion, and the musician is now among the ranks of at least $ 1 billion in total assets.

The 42-year-old Chicago-born rapper Yeezy shoes usually sell for over $ 200 a pair in the United States and elsewhere.

West has been in contact with Nike for years, but broke away from Nike in 2013 and lent him his name when Adidas launched their first pair of shoes in 2015.

Forbes said the West has been insisting for years that the magazine be listed as one of the super-rich, but due to lack of evidence, the magazine declined.

The magazine said with a pinch that it has been applying the so-called Trump rules to the West for many years: “Take everything the future president says on it, divide it by three and start grinding from there.”

The magazine said most of West’s remaining ownership came from real estate he owned.

West is the second American rapper to hit the Forbes list after Jay Z.
