Investment process in special economic zones simplified: Asad

Islamabad: Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar stated that the government has developed a mechanism to promote companies interested in investing in the CPEC Special Economic Zone.

Speaking at the award ceremony of 27 outstanding Pakistani employees who participated in the CPEC project in Islamabad, he said that the government has simplified the investment process of international investors in the special economic zone.

He said that the focus of Pakistan and China in the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is agriculture and science and technology.

Khalid Mansour, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Affairs, said at the meeting that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is still the cornerstone of the economic relationship between the two countries.
