Sheikh Rashid calls for burying politics of 'lies and hypocrisy'

Imran Khan will announce Islamabad march after floods recede: Sh Rashid

Rawalpindi: Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad on Sunday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will announce Islamabad march after the floods subside.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has signed further agreements with the government to recover $608 billion, the AML chief said in a statement on Twitter. He said people were even struggling to buy petrol and pay their electricity bills, which would now increase further.

Sheikh Rashid slammed the government saying that first the treasury was looted and now they are looting the pockets of the poor.

He added that the unprecedented flooding in Sindh was an eye-opener and exposed the government’s incompetence. He said the government had been “ultrasonic” and the floods had damaged PDM’s reputation.

Continuing his harsh criticism, he said: “When their own people are reluctant to donate to money launderers, how will other countries donate to them?”

The AML chief also mentioned that he will appear in the Lahore High Court on September 5.
