Lahore: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Sunday that Prime Minister Imran Khan should resign before submitting a motion of no confidence.
Speaking to media sources along with other BJP leaders, Bilawal Bhutto said when the Long March arrived in Islamabad, they would file a motion of no confidence if Imran Khan had not resigned by then.
Bilawal vowed not to rest until Imran Khan is packed and said they will continue to fight for the common man along with others.
He said the government was under unprecedented pressure and the biggest challenge facing the government was the opposition’s no-confidence motion.
The PPP chairman further said that Shehbaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman would meet soon to finalize plans for the motion, saying that the PPP would respect any decision made by the United Opposition.
However, Bilawal also stressed the need for the support of government allies to make the motion against the government a success.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s former spokesman Nadim Afzal Chan rejoined the BJP after a meeting with party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
While welcoming Nadeem Afzal Chan to the party, Bilawal Bhutto said that the PPP is his home and will always be welcomed.
The BJP chairman said the chosen prime minister would be sent home even before the Long March reached Islamabad. And Nadeem Afzal Chan said that PTI failed to live up to expectations.
