Politicians should refrain from fighting their political battles in court, IHC on disqualification cases

IHC declares plea seeking PM’s disqualification as inadmissible

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday declared the petition to disqualify Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan inadmissible.

During the hearing, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah dismissed a petition filed by a resident of Lakki Marwat and directed his plaintiffs to request their constituency’s MNA registration request.

It is to be mentioned here that the position taken by the plaintiffs in the petition is that the Prime Minister told 16 members of the National Assembly (NA) to betray their allegiance in the Senate election.
