Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal has said that PTI has plunged the country into a quagmire of debts, how does it expect to fund the Ravi urban city project, estimated to cost Rs 5000 billion?
The PML-N leader said at a press conference in Lahore that yesterday the government provided a plaque worth 5 trillion rupees for the Ravi Urban project. He added that the problem is that the 5 trillion rupees comes from where there is not even 100 billion rupees for universities.
Ahsan Iqbal said that the Diamer Bhasha dam required 28 billion rupees, while the government only allocated 16 billion rupees. In addition, the government does not provide funding for national projects or even higher education.
The leaders of PML-N stated that the people have a great lack of confidence in the government and investors do not trust its policies. It also tried to pass selfish laws and anti-money laundering Financial Action Task Force laws, which further exposed people’s confidence.
