ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Shazia Atta Marri has said that the government will provide relief to people in the budget being announced on Friday.
Talking to reporters in Islamabad on Wednesday, she said 28 billion rupees are being provided to people through Benazir Income Support Programme. She said that six million people have recently been included in ambit of the BISP to curtail poverty.
Benazir Income Support Scheme minister said Rs 2,000 will be provided to those earning less than 40,000 a month.
She said the Prime Minister has taken inputs from people affiliated with different sectors for betterment of economy.
Shazia Marri said Imran Khan after being ousted from power is misguiding people and giving statements against the country.
The Minister for Benazir Income Support Programme said past government also imposed restriction on media.
She said Imran Khan’s past government made empty claims but did nothing for the welfare of the masses.
