Govt planning intolerable hike in petrol, gas prices: Sherry Rehman


Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Shirley Rahman said on Thursday that the government is planning to increase the prices of gasoline, natural gas and electricity to unbearable levels.

Sherry Rehman said in a tweet that Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a rescue plan for the masses, but the government is busy drawing up an inflation plan recently.

She said that the government will increase electricity prices by ending subsidies, and the government will also increase the oil tax to increase an additional burden of 610 billion rupees.

The PPP leader further stated that the current government has increased the price of natural gas by 350%, and now PTI has also increased the price of MMBTU by Rs 400 in accordance with the instructions of the IMF.

Sherry Rehman said that people have no gasoline this winter, and the government is bringing people back to the Stone Age and increasing their problems.
