ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Food Security and Research Syed Fahar Imam said the government attaches great importance to agriculture, with regular monitoring through weekly meetings.
Wheat is the most important crop and any problems that arise should be resolved promptly to keep things running smoothly, he said when he was chairing the wheat review committee in Islamabad.
The minister was informed that 30 percent of drought- and disease-resistant seeds were used, which will contribute positively to wheat production.
