Govt approves hike of Rs 4.74 in electricity prices for December


Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan (GOP) on Thursday approved an increase in electricity prices for December by 4.74 rupees.

It is understood that the National Electricity Regulatory Agency (NEPRA) has issued a notice on the increase in electricity prices. According to the detailed information, the notice determined that electricity consumers will have to face an additional burden of Rs 6 billion. K-electric and Life Line customers will not implement this increase.

From December, customers will have to bear the increased prices.
