Gold extends gains in line with international market

Gold Rs200 cheaper in Pakistan


Gold prices in Pakistan fell by Rs 200 per tola on Tuesday, with prices closing at Rs 126,000 per tola.

In the international market, the rate of 24k-gold increased $7 per ounce, according to rates compiled by the All Sindh Sarrafa and Jewelers Association. It is being sold at $1,807.

Gold hit an all-time high of $2,074 an ounce in August 2020 and hit a five-month high of $1,874 on Nov. 16. On October 26, it rose to Rs 132,000 per tola in Pakistan.

On January 11, 10 grams of gold lost Rs 171 to trade at Rs 108,025.
