Gold price slides in Pakistan, after two-day climb

After Pakistan’s gold price rose by 1,400 rupees in the first two days, it fell by 550 rupees per tola on Saturday.

Compared with the previous week, this week has increased by 900 rupees.

According to prices compiled by All Sindh Sarrafa and the Jewelers Association, the 24k gold Torah is now priced at 125,300 rupees.

In the international market, precious metals fell 10 US dollars per ounce to close at 1799 US dollars. Earlier, the price of gold rose by $41 in the past two days.

From November 26 to December 15, it fell more than $100.

This precious commodity hit a five-month high of US$1,874 per ounce on November 16, and reached a record high of 132,000 rupees in Pakistan on October 26.

The price of 10 grams of yellow metal dropped by 472 rupees, and the price on December 18 was 107,424 rupees.
