Karachi: In line with the trend in global markets, gold prices in Pakistan edged up on Wednesday.
Gold gained Rs 50 to Rs 128,800 per tola and Rs 43 to Rs 110,425 per 10 grams.
Gold traded at Rs 128,750 per tola and Rs 110,382 per 10 grams on Tuesday.
Commodity traders believe that inflation fears may become more persistent; therefore, gold as an inflation hedge could last longer.
In international markets, gold held above the key $1,900 an ounce level, up $6. Prices settled at $1,928.
