Gold price extends gains in Pakistan

Karachi: Consistent with last week’s performance, Pakistan’s gold price recorded a meager gain of 100 rupees per tola in the domestic market.

Valuable goods rose by 100 rupees per tola and 86 rupees per 10 grams, closing at 126,300 rupees per tola and 108,282 rupees per 10 grams respectively.

Earlier, AA Commodity Director Adnan Agar said in an interview with Geo.tv: “In Pakistan, due to the sharp depreciation of our currency, we will not see a sharp drop in prices.

“Any major price decline in international gold prices would be eclipsed by the rising dollar price in Pakistan and an upward trend would be seen as double price gain for gold,” Agar had said.
