ISLAMABAD: The current government will soon reduce the price of ghee to Rs 150 per kilo, Federal Finance Minister Mifta Ismail said on Thursday.
Mifta told a news conference that the country’s economy has stabilized and the government will soon resolve all issues with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
“With the economy unstable, we have no choice but to raise oil prices, but now that oil prices are falling in global markets, we will provide relief to the masses,” he added.
Miftah further said that the prices of ghee, sugar and flour will drop significantly while ghee will soon drop by Rs 150 per kg, adding that fertilizer prices will also drop soon.
In a dig at the PTI chairman, the finance minister said Imran Khan left the country with the current deficit and people are suffering the consequences due to his incompetent policies.
