Islamabad: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi has begun a two-day official visit to China on Thursday.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi, accompanied by senior officials, will lead Pakistan in the second round of the China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers Strategic Dialogue.
China will be led by State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi. The first meeting of the dialogue was held in March last year.
During the dialogue, the two sides will discuss cooperation on Covid-19, bilateral relations, and regional and international issues of mutual interest.
This visit will play an important role in further strengthening Pakistan-China “all-weather strategic partnership” and deepening strategic communication and coordination with China on a series of issues.
Pakistan and China are the closest friends and firm partners. Their battle-tested friendship is based on unparalleled mutual trust, understanding and common interests.
Both parties are fully committed to establishing a closer China-Pakistan common future community.
