Federation submits key documents on Nawaz’s warrants in IHC

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard Aziz and Avenfield’s mention of the Supreme Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif (Nawaz Sharif) on Monday.

At the hearing, the federal representative told the government that Pakistan had received important documents regarding the arrest warrant of Nawaz Sharif from the London High Commission. He said that these documents have been submitted to the court for further hearing.

In addition, the hearing has been postponed to October 7.

Earlier, the court had begun proceedings to declare Nawaz Sharif as proclaimed offender in Al-Azizia and Avenfield references and decided to record testimonies of the officers who were given task for implementation of arrest warrant of Nawaz Sharif through United Kingdom’s County Court.

A notice was also sent to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the federal government to submit a response by October 7.

IHC judge Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani stated that Nawaz Sharif’s behavior is shameful. He added that PML-N supremo’s departure from the UK is an insult to the entire system.
