Federal Cabinet approves Finance (Supplementary) Bill 2021


Islamabad: Bowing down to the tough conditions laid out by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan approved Finance (Supplementary) Bill 2021.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also plans to chair the Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) parliamentary party meeting, when parliament members will be briefed on the small budget.

Later in the day, the Finance Amendment Bill 2021 will be unveiled in the National Assembly (NA) by Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin.

Speaker Asad Qaiser will chair the session of the assembly today at 4:00 pm in Parliament House, Islamabad. The NA Secretariat has issued an 18-point agenda for the meeting.

According to the agenda, a resolution will be tabled to extend the Federal Government Property Management Authority Ordinance by 120 days. A resolution for 120-day extension in the Public Properties Ordinance, 2021 is also on the agenda.

The power generation, transmission and distribution management regulations will also be extended.
