FBR witnesses record tax collection of Rs2920b in 2nd quarter of FY21-22: Farrukh

Islamabad: The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib, stated that the Federal Revenue Commission (FBR) has witnessed a record revenue of 29,200 billion rupees, an increase of 32% in the second quarter of the current fiscal.

In a tweet on Saturday, he said that the collection reflects an increase in economic activity in the country.

He said that FBR has collected an additional Rs 2,870 crore as the target during this period is Rs 2,633 crore.

He said that Rs 6,000 crore was raised in December alone.
