ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has given Imran Khan’s lawyer a week to file a response in the contempt case.
It is understood that the four-member committee heard the case. Imran Khan’s lawyer has argued that he needs more time to file a response because he still needs to see a copy of the charges.
In response, the Election Commission gave Imran Khan a week and postponed the hearing until September 7.
Earlier, the ECP had issued contempt notices to Imran Khan, Asad Umer and Fawad Chaudhry and ordered them to file their responses to the notices by August 30.
