ECP announces schedule for re-polling for LG polls in eight districts of Balochistan


ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday decided to re-vote local body elections on July 2 in eight districts of Balochistan.

According to a notice issued by the ECP, local body elections will be held in eight districts of the province, including Duki, Qila Abdullah, Ziarat, Loralai, Panjgur, Sibi, Nushki and Kech.

The notification shows that the process will continue uninterrupted from 8 am to 5 pm. Thirteen of these constituencies will hold re-elections on July 2.

The local body elections held in various districts on May 29, 2022 have been suspended due to public security and other incidents.
