DERA GHAZI KHAN: The district election commissioner on Friday banned Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman from holding a rally in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to the details, the decision was made for successive violations of the electoral code of conduct.
It is to be mentioned here that JUI-F was scheduled to visit Dera Ghazi Khan on February 7 for a rally at Baisakhi Ground.
Earlier in the day, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday issued a notice to Zia-ur-Rehman, brother of Maulana Fazlur Rehman , saying it violated the electoral code of conduct in the second phase of its local body polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
