Lahore: Dense fog once again enveloped different cities in Punjab, including Lahore on Wednesday and Thursday nights, paralyzing daily life and disrupting road and air traffic.
Due to poor visibility, flight operations at Lahore’s Alama Iqbal International Airport and Faisalabad International Airport were interrupted, and several inbound and outbound flights in the two cities were delayed or cancelled.
The dense fog has severely affected road traffic in several cities in Punjab. According to the highway spokesperson, the part of the highway from Lahore to Sialkot (M11), the part of the highway from Lahore to Shehupura (M2), and the part of the highway from Lahore to Salmondri The highway section (M3) has been closed due to poor visibility.
Highway police advise drivers to turn on fog lights when driving at low speeds, because the fog has reduced visibility to zero. Highway police also asked people to stay at home and avoid unnecessary travel.
