Dengue cases on the rise in Karachi: report

Karachi: The Sindh health department said on Saturday that in Karachi, the number of dengue fever cases is on the rise. In the past month alone, 480 new cases have been reported in the metropolis.

According to reports from the health department, the eastern region of Karachi reported the largest number of cases, with 222 cases, of which Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Jamshed Town were the most affected.

According to the report, a total of 112 cases were registered in the central region, of which North Nazimabad and Gulberg reported the most patients.

Southern District, Korangi, Mariel and Western District reported 66 cases, 36 cases, 25 cases and 19 cases respectively, including women, children and the elderly.

The health department reported that the number of dengue fever infections in Karachi this year has reached 1,149.
