ISLAMABAD: Twelve more people were killed as floods ravaged Pakistan, bringing the death toll from the country’s unprecedented floods to 1,355.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 6 more people died in Sindh, 2 more died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3 people died in Balochistan due to the floods caused by torrential rains in Pakistan.
In addition, 564,831 houses were destroyed and 753,187 cattle were slaughtered.
The total number of flood casualties has reached 263 in Balochistan, 191 in Punjab, 22 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 44 in Azad Kashmir, the report added.
The number of injured people nationwide has reached 12,722.
