CPPA seeks Rs6.28 increase in power tariff

ISLAMABAD: The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) on Sunday filed a petition to increase electricity price in the context of monthly fuel adjustment.

According to the details, electricity prices may rise by Rs 6.28 per unit in a month. Meanwhile, the prepaid fuel cost in July stood at Rs 4.69 per unit.

The National Electricity Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will hear petitions for July fuel adjustments on August 31.
