Country’s exports witness record increase of 25% in 1st half of FY21-22: Farrukh

Islamabad: The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Farrukh Habib, stated that in the first half of this fiscal year, the country’s exports have exceeded US$15 billion.

He stated in a tweet that due to the special measures taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan, exports have increased by 25%, a record high.

He said that in December alone, exports reached US$2.761 billion, an increase of 32% compared to the same month in the 2020-21 fiscal year.

The Minister expressed confidence that if this rate continues, by the end of this fiscal year, the country will witness the industry’s highest ever growth of US$30 billion.
