LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that people are not cooperating in Punjab after the easing of lockdown. He said that if the public does not show responsibility, markets could be locked down again.
Mian Aslam Iqbal said the government may be forced to make another difficult decision and shut down markets where the individuals concerned did not follow the SOP.
Aslam Iqbal said that he visited Anarkali in the Ichhra Bazaar market, but unfortunately did not comply with the SOP. He said that it was observed that each store had dozens of customers at a time, which increased the risk of virus transmission, and urged people not to bring young children to the market.
The Provincial Minister outlined the SOP and pointed out that shopkeepers and salesmen wearing masks to get rid of violations and deal with the public are also part of the SOP.
