Corporate sector yielding positive result due to PM’s business friendly policies: Farrukh

Islamabad: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib says the corporate sector made a profit of 929 billion rupees during the last year as a result of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s business friendly policies.

In a tweet on Wednesday, he stated that the profit during the 2018 PML-N government period was 587 billion rupees.

The Minister of State stated that 70,000 new companies were registered during the PTI government, an increase of 44%; while 25,856 companies were registered during the five-year term of PML-N.

In the first three quarters of this fiscal year, the profits of these companies were 258 billion rupees.

Farrukh Habib said that a new record was set within three years of the PTI government.

He said that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the real estate industry has grown by 494%, information technology has grown by 194%, and the tourism industry has grown by 136%.
