Pakistan has reported 2 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, and the number of positive cases surged to 298,509. The total number of deaths across the country jumped to 6,342.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 484 people were tested for COVID-19 within 24 hours.
In terms of individual cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 130,483 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 97,166 in Punjab, 36,591 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,734 in Islamabad, 13,229 in Balochistan, 2,327 in Azad Kashmir and 2,979 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 2,422 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,210 in Punjab, 1,255 in KP, 144 in Balochistan, 175 in Islamabad, 71 in GB and 65 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 2,757,709 coronavirus tests and 25,384 in last 24 hours. 285,898 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 532 patients are in critical condition.
