Lahore: Pakistan has reported 18 deaths from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, and the number of positive cases has soared to 296,590. The total number of deaths across the country jumped to 6,318.
According to the latest data from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 441 people have been tested positive for COVID-19 within 24 hours.
In terms of individual cases, Sindh is still the province most affected by the pandemic, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
So far, 129,615 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Sindh Province, 96,921 cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 36,265 cases have been confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,666 cases in Islamabad, 12,899 cases in Balochistan. Zad Kashmir has 2,302 cases, Gilgit-Baltistan has 2,922 cases.
Furthermore 2,409 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,204 in Punjab, 1,255 in KP, 141 in Balochistan, 175 in Islamabad, 71 in GB and 63 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 2,662,508 coronavirus tests and 20,480 in last 24 hours. 281,459 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 584 patients are in critical condition.
