Islamabad: A high-level meeting held in Islamabad on Monday was chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan and developed a comprehensive plan to resolve the Karachi issue.
The source said that the implementation of the action plan will begin within 48 hours, and a strong manager of the city will also be appointed. General Qamar Javed Bajwa of the Chief of Staff of the Army (COAS) will also visit Karachi soon.
During the meeting, it was decided to establish a national command and operations center in accordance with the model of establishing a national command and control center to control the coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting also decided that the federal government and the Pakistan Armed Forces will assist the Sindh provincial government to solve the Karachi issue under the central system.
The source also informed that the plan will be further expanded after Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Karachi on Thursday. The Sindh provincial government is also full of confidence in the decision of the high-level meeting.
